Family Promise of Lee County:  Family Promise is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to homeless families in Lee County, NC.  Family Promise (FPLC) is successful due to local church congregations work together as partners and provide an outreach ministry focusing on the needs of the homeless families in our community.  FPLC helps homeless families transform their lives by providing emergency shelter and family stability services with which families can quickly obtain and sustain stable housing. These services include employment and life-skills training programs.  We keep all types of families together during the crisis of homelessness and provide individualized blends of services during and after their Family Promise stay to help them achieve long-term family stability. 

Shallow Well Church partners with Morris Chapel Methodist Church and McQueens Chapel on a quaterly basis to provide and deliver evening meals.  The meals are fully cooked and/or microwaveable.

College Student Mentoring Project   When a young adult moves away from their home and family for college or work, it is an exciting time, but also a time that they need our prayers and well wishes more than ever before!  Please consider donating a card, snacks, bookmark, Bible study books, gift card, or other memento into their box in the Narthex, just to let them know the church is thinking about them and praying for them.  A list containing pertinent information on each student/young adult can be found on the table with the baskets.  If you need to add a student/young adult to the list or have other questions about this project, please contact Beth Haas at 919-356-2578.  Beth is responsible for bagging the goodies around the middle of each month and distributing the basket contents to the students/young adults.  Thank you for your generous support of these young people of our church.
